Why does a company exist?

Organisations exist to deliver value to their stakeholders, normally:

· Shareholders

· Employees

· Customers

· Community

Does the company exist to make profit? Or is there a vision that is more than self-serving? Is there a vision that permeates the organization and gives the organization a spirit of its own. Profit follows vision. Vision does not follow profit.
